HOPE for Veterans

We celebrate our Veterans and offer a hand up to those men and women who have served.

This event/program helps Veterans with some of the things they desperately need as they are recovering from at risk of, or previous homelessness. Items may include food, basic toiletries, wheelchair ramps, and basic repairs to their homes that they are no longer able to make themselves. This is an ongoing event as we receive phone calls every day for Veterans that are in need. To be a part of giving back and say “Thank you for Service!” to one of these very deserving Veterans, please contact Gina at gina@buildinghopeidaho.org

Meals of HOPE

This event/program provides meals to our vulnerable elderly community who live on a very fixed income. It is becoming more and more common due to the very high cost of food and medicine that our elderly are not eating on a daily basis. The "Meals of HOPE Program" utilizes volunteers and we hand deliver each food box (food for 2 weeks) to a senior in need. In doing this, we not only provide food and the basic human needs, but we provide compassion and community by showing that we care enough to take the time to reach out with kindness and positive interaction. We are passionate about being HOPE BUILDERS.

Through successful partnerships with local corporations, we were able to feed 1998 Veteran and Senior families last year. We are passionate about providing as many Meals of HOPE throughout the year as we can. From November 11th to December 15th each year, we run our Holiday Meals of HOPE program to help feed as many Veteran families and at-risk senior citizens as we can. We partner with many local organizations during this time.

If you are interested in making a donation or would like to have food donation boxes at your business, please contact us at donations@buildinghopeidaho.org.

HOPE for Christmas

Each year we partner with KTSY and Operation Grateful Hearts during the Christmas season to help provide HOPE to a handful of families that have undergone substantial loss and or have a need due to a disability. Christmas is a time of giving. What better way to give than to be part of giving HOPE to someone that has lost all hope. If you would like to be part of providing HOPE for someone this Christmas season, please contact Gina at gina@buildinghopeidaho.org
